Newly Updated 100+ page Dinosaur Packet!

Our Dinosaur Unit is a multi-age packet for 3-8 year olds. It is now well over 100 pages and include a wide variety of activities including  games, worksheets, notebook pages (with tracing or fill-in-the-blanks), foldables and other activities for 3-8 year olds.

I have added in over 40 new pages of notebook-style pages and worksheets with basic information about the Mesozoic Era, dinosaur information cards, herbivore vs carnivore worksheets, plus new activity pages like dinosaur dot-to-dot pages . There are now 4 PDFs. I split Dinosaur Packet Part 1 into two parts. The Dinosaur Unit includes Part 1A: 60 pages Part 1B:  45 pages Part 2: 20 pages Part 3: 50 pages.

Dinosaur Unit - Ages 3-8Dinosaur Information Pages: The first few pages of the new material cover some basic information about dinosaurs. The notebook pages include tracing and fill-in-the-blank options.

Dinosaur Unit - how did dinosaurs get their name - how do we know what dinosaurs looked likeThis unit focuses on 15 dinosaurs. Students will learn to identify these dinosaurs and will learn which time periods each lived in: the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. Students will also learn what they ate.

This packet covers 15 dinosaurs: Allosaurus, Ankylosaurs, Apatasaurus, Brachiosaurus, Herrerasaurus (one of the earliest dinosaurs), Iguanodon, Parasaurolophus, Plesiosaurus, Pteranodon, Quetzalcoatlus, Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptor.

Learn more about the dinosaurs with the Dinosaur Lapbook Activity. Students can do their own research or use the fast fact pieces provided.  There are also dinosaur information cards (with tracing) or with blanks where students can write in their own information.

Using the information they learned in the lapbook activity or with the information cards, student will sort these dinosaurs into herbivores or carnivores with a cut-and-paste activity and a carnivore-herbivore worksheet.

My daughter has been interested in fossils and paleontology for a long time now!  She recently requested some notebook pages.  I added in a new pdf – this one with basic dinosaur information pages (with tracing) for the younger crowd and some notebook pages (with lines) for older students like my daughter!  Here are a couple of pages of this third Dinosaur pdf (which is 50 pages itself!!)
