New faces at Peetz School include area natives

Peetz School District has welcomed several new faces this year, though not all are new to the area.

Dylon Rinaldo

Dylon Rinaldo is a new high school math teacher. He grew up in Sterling and has been in the area most of his life, graduating from Merino High School. Rinaldo then went on to Chadron State College, where he got his bachelor’s degree and hopes to finish his master’s degree.

For now, he is working under the alternative teacher license program, which he says “is a great way to get new people into teaching.”

Rinaldo wanted to go into teaching to hopefully make an impact on others and not just be working a job for his personal gain. He decided to teach at Peetz because he currently lives there with his family and his oldest child is in kindergarten at the school. He also loves the small-town atmosphere and tight nit community.

He would like to congratulate all of the new teachers in the area and hopes they have a successful year.

Tracy Jones

Tracy Jones is the school’s new media/tech specialist. She grew up in Peetz and after getting married, she lived in Sidney, Neb. Her family moved to Bemidji, Minn., for about six years before they made the decision to move back to Sidney to be closer to family.

“I love the Peetz School and community and wanted my kids to experience it. Our children are our future and it’s exciting and humbling to be a part of that,” Jones said.

Other new faces include Nolan Krause, ag teacher; Darlene Monroe, preschool teacher; and Ashley Roberts, seventh through 12th grade science teacher.
