NO DAVID ACTIVITIES
Kids LOVE the character David, found in the popular series by David Shannon. Maybe they can relate to David's character a little bit?! The book No, David! is a Caldecott Honor Book.
In the book No, David! the main character David is always hearing the word NO. NO to stealing cookies, NO to running in the house covered in mud, NO to splashing water out of the bathtub.
David also hears things like 'Be quiet!' and 'Settle down!' and 'Don't play with your food!'
Even though David hears 'no' regarding his wild actions, his mother tells him 'Yes, David, I love you.' This is a great book to teach about the story elements of character traits, cause and effect, and text-to-self connections!
