San Diego EarthFair 2022
The annual EarthFair in Balboa Park is the largest free annual environmental fair in the world. Each year, EarthFair draws around 50,000 visitors. Produced by 300 volunteers, EarthFair 2022 will feature more than 300 exhibitors, special theme areas, a Food Pavilion, a special Children’s Activity Area, four entertainment venues, the Children’s Earth Parade, the eARTh Gallery arts and crafts show, and the Cleaner Car Concourse. In the Children’s Activity Area you’ll find crafts, games, face painting, storytelling, and hands-on activities for children of all ages. Activities are intended to educate, entertain and inspire youth, in the spirit of Earth Day. This year, participants will learn to make paper, learn about recycling, make gift cards from recycled materials, and learn how to visit wild areas without disturbing the environment. Earth Day Zoo Camp
In honor of earth day, grab your passport and take a trip around the world where you’ll meet animal ambassadors from almost every continent! What could be a better way to learn about the many and varied ecological regions on the planet than to meet some of the animals that call them home than in one of our four-hour Earth Day Zoo Camps? 20th Annual Creek to Bay Cleanup
Be a part of the biggest Earth Week cleanup in the county by joining 4,000 volunteers at this family-friendly event to help remove thousands of pounds of litter from neighborhoods throughout San Diego. There are more than 75 sites you can attend, and registration is now open. Sat. Event details.
Envision Broadway Art Walk
Chula Vista Center is hosting the Envision Broadway Spring Art Walk on the upper-level open space near the AMC Theatre, featuring entries such as paintings, drawings, photography, dance and theater all centered around the theme of a “Safe and Healthy” Broadway Community. Presented by the Institute for Public Strategies, the Spring Art Walk will showcase pieces from kindergarten to high school, along with adults of all ages, with cash prizes and gift cards from $50 to $100 for winners in various categories including ages 5-10, 11-13, 14-18 and 19 and above. Students from Sweetwater School District, Chula Vista Elementary District and a number of private schools in the south bay will participate in the Art Walk and local teachers are encouraging all children to submit an entry for display and competition. Junior Baking Class: S’mores
At Fandory Factory’s weekly junior baking classes we will be baking bread, cookies, treats, desserts & much more. Each week we;ll be creating something different and fun. You can purchase a ticket for just 1 class, or sign up for the whole month. All supplies are provided for each class. Age recommendation 2+ for morning 10am Class.
