TURKEY'S EGGCELLENT EASTER
Our favorite turkey is back in Turkey's Eggcellent Easter by Wendi Silvano. In this book we have Turkey and his barnyard friends badly wanting to join in the Easter egg hunt!
Turkey was especially interested in getting treats. Chocolate, jelly beans, and an eggstraspecial surprise! He wondered what it was, and wanted badly to win it.
But there was a BIG problem. Animals weren't allowed on the egg hunt. It was just for kids. Can you guess what Turkey and his friends did?
As with the other Turkey books in the series, Turkey tries to sneak in where he's not allowed by wearing a disguise. He started out trying to look like the Easter Bunny.
Next he tried to disguise himself as a daffodil, and then a bumblebee. Each time he was caught and sent away.
Turkey then tried to disguise himself as the special egg. The farmyard animals worked together to get him ready.
Your students will love to see what happens to Turkey as he disguises himself as the special egg...and to see if he wins any Easter prizes and treats.
