4 Athleisure Inspired Looks

A good friend texted me the other night asking for styling advice.

I’m no stylist, but from time to time when someone reaches out asking for outfit advice if I have the time I’m always happy to throw together a few looks that I would personally wear for the occasion. I’m actually pretty awful at looking at another person and making style suggestions for what they should wear. Anytime someone asks for tips, I just show them what I would wear and hope they like it too (ha!).

Anyway, here are a few outfits I threw together for her. She’s shooting a very specific video for her brand that will involve one look that is more athleisure yet professional and something she can move in. The other look is more athletic for the movement portion which involve more exercise clothes.

When shooting photos or video I always suggest wearing something a bit more fitted than you are probably comfortable with. The old saying “the camera adds ten pounds” is a little true. Even if it feels a little too “snug,” more fitted attire will always photograph better {I promise!}

I also love this Jenni Kayne Sweater as a throw on over anything athletic. Also, the Aritzia Women’s Workout selection has some excellent pieces.
