Dudley season is back and with it always comes a slew of questions about fit, fabric, colors, and more. I wrote a comprehensive FAQ post on my favorite fleece turtlenecks last year but this post goes into more detail about each length (Long- Cobble Hill, medium- Green Point, and short- Park Slope) and how they fit.
A quick background for anyone new here: Two of my friends, sisters Lauren and Kaki, founded Dudley Stephens a few years ago to create comfortable and chic fleece products for the women in their lives and beyond. They design and create all of their products from fabric made from recycled plastic bottles and have formed a cult following here in the Northeast. I can’t walk around town or daycare pick up between September and April without seeing someone in a Dudley.
A few years ago, I was lucky enough to create a new color with them that is now permanently in their line. Shocker… it’s ice blue.
Since my last post, they’ve added a new length to their line, the Green Point, which I tried on for the first time last week. I’m comparing it to the OG classics, Cobble Hill, and Park Slope, below. I’m showcasing all three in black because I think if you’re going to buy one DS turtleneck, black is your best bet. It is so versatile and classic.
Before I show you all three of them, I want to answer my most asked question about DS: terry vs vello fleece.
I prefer the terry fleece because it’s a little thinner and I run warm. But the vello fleece is softer and cozier so it depends what you’re looking for. When we did my collab in ice blue (you can still buy my color in Park Slope and Cobble Hill!), we did it in terry for that reason. So if I had to pick one, it would be terry! All the fleeces in these images are shown in vello, however.

Dudley Stephens Cobble Hill
The long Cobble Hill turtleneck is great because it covers your hips and butt. I prefer wearing mine with leggings for errands, school pick up, and around the house. It also looks good with jeans, but it’s best worn as athleisure IMO. Out of all three, it’s the most flattering cut.
Dudley Stephens Green Point
Green Point is the newest addition to the Dudley family and I’m into it! I like that you can tuck it into the front of your jeans for a casual sweatshirt that also looks pulled together. This was my first time wearing it, but I know I’ll be getting a lot of use out of it this winter.
Dudley Stephens Park Slope
The Park Slope is my personal favorite style. I love the way it hits right at my waist and can be worn with jeans, pants, or a skirt. I’ve worn it countless ways throughout the years. Check out how I styled the camel version three ways.
You really can’t go wrong with any of these turtleneck styles. They’re a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe and if you don’t own one already, I promise they’ll be a staple in yours as well!
