Everlane Lately: 4 Spring Outfits w/New + Old Favorites

This post is sponsored by Everlane. All ideas, opinions and content are my own.

The trees in my neighborhood are bursting with blooms right now, and I’ve never been so grateful for something so simple, routine and normal. The flowers are bright and cheerful, and they are inspiring me to get bright and cheerful with my spring wardrobe.

Today’s post is a nod to the spring styles that are blooming in my closet. Specifically: my favorites from Everlane, new and old.

A quick note on Everlane.

I shared this a few weeks ago in my Instagram stories, but it’s worth mentioning here as well. It seems to me that last year was a ‘building year’ for Everlane’s product line up. They released a lot of new items. It looked like a year of finding out what does and doesn’t work for the brand and it’s customers. I’ve noticed this year the rate of new items has slowed and they’ve been shoring up and bringing back favorites from last year. Many of which are featured in this post! Note: This is all my personal observation and not an official memo from the company. (Even though this is a sponsored post, they are very hands off when it comes to the content.)

So, without too much further chit chat, let’s get to the outfits! These are fun, uncomplicated looks, the kind that are easy to toss on in the morning and hit the ground running for a day of zoom calls, distance learning, kitchen wizardry, or whatever it is you’re up to! Oh, and they are 100% comfortable too.

#1 – Easy + Bright

When I saw that Everlane was releasing an elastic waist pant, I got very excited. These chinos didn’t let me down. They are a bit more fitted and straight through the leg (hence the name) than I expected, but I love how easy they are to wear. One of my favorite details are the back pockets. They are simple and sleek and go a long way to hide potential VPL. If you look closely, you’ll notice the front pockets have an angled cut which retains the clean lines of the pants from the front (instead of puckinger out) when not in use. I opted for this bright Amber color because I was enticed by the cheerfulness, but the pants also come in in Black, Warm Khaki and Canvas.

I paired the Easy Straight Leg Chinos with the Linen Picnic Top, which is a return from last spring. (You can see when I first featured it here.) I love this tank so much I ended up ordering it in black too. I wore them both many times over last spring and summer.

#2 – Sweet Meets Sporty

These pants came out about a year ago, and I have been wearing them with abandon ever since. My favorite aspects are the generous hem (it helps the pants drape nicely), the high rise, and the soft and stretchy fabric. As I’ve mentioned before, these pants are made with lightweight fabric, which means I usually wear them in the spring/summer and fall. When temperatures dip I opt for longer, thicker pants. I actually have these in three colors! Mostly I was suckered in by the release of the gorgeous Chocolate color this spring.

I styled the pants with my Air Ruched Blouse, another one of my favorites from last spring. If memory serves me correct, this was the first ultra feminine style released by Everlane and I loved it the moment I got it. It’s especially great to wear in the summer with shorts because the fabric is so lightweight and breathable, and it deflects the sun, so it’s almost better than a tank top. I love the contrast between a feminine top and cutoff shorts! The Air Ruched Blouse borders on sheer (I think the white would be even moreso), but the pinstripe version I have is just opaque enough to not need an undershirt. There is a subtle Toffee Plaid version which looks super cute too!

To give this outfit a casual edge, I added sneakers which contrast nicely with the girly top. I love a soft and sporty combo. And while I’m on the topic, these sneakers are exceeding my expectations. I received them a few months ago, and they are so comfortable. They’ve been my go-to lately for dog walks and grocery store trips. Everlane just released a gumsole edition, and I am hiding my wallet. This style of shoe runs TTS for me.

#3 – 70’s Chill

I have a bad habit of using the word ‘love’ too much when I write these Everlane posts, but there’s a reason for that! I scour and try as much as I can so I can bring you all the details on the pieces that are WORTH loving. And these pants were a surprise favorite!! They are made with a soft, draped denim material, cut with a high waist and a long inseam. They harken back to the 70’s in the best way possible. The part that surprised me? How comfortable they are! They feel like pajamas. This color is an off-white with contrast stitching. They also come in a light blue wash and a dark blue wash.

Let’s talk about this shirt. (Notice I always describe the pants first? That’s because I always build my outfits around pants.) The Linen Puff-Sleeve Top is new from Everlane this spring, and it’s an easy hit. The square neckline is flattering, and the puff sleeves give the blouse a nice shape. My favorite feature is the contrast buttons. I think this is another one that will look great with shorts in the summer. It also comes in a beautiful Marigold color.

The natural conclusion to this outfit is CLOGS! I am excited to see that Everlane released their first ever of this style, and I think they nailed it. I love the clean look, the lightweight, hollowed base, and of course the woven top. These are different from traditional clogs in that there is no visible stapling on the wood and the toe has a more slim/almond shape. I went a half size up from my usual Everlane size and find them to be quite comfy. The heel height is considerable, but the platform offsets it, making them very easy to walk in. You can see an extensive review saved to my Instagram highlights here.

NEW FAVS: Super-Soft Wide Leg Jean, 28, Linen Puff-Sleeve Top, 6, Woven Clogs*, 11, c/o Everlane

Note: Many sizes of the Woven Clogs sold out, but it looks like a restock is expected in late August. I always recommend checking back in case they get any restocks via returns.

And just for fun, a bonus look! I love the way these jeans look with t-shirts! This one is from Jungmaven.

#4 – Classic with Texture

This is a classic, everyday look, the kind that I reach for over and over! I think the secret to executing simple looks well is to employ pieces that have good details. In this case it’s texture. The texture on this sweater (and the clogs) make this ‘basic’ outfit anything but.

This sweater came out last year, and I fawned over it, but missed it before it sold out. I am so glad they brought it back! I have worn it many, many times since I got it. Because the weave is light and loose, I anticipate it will be a nice addition to shorts and dresses on cool summer evenings.

I’ve been enjoying this style of jeans ever since Everlane released them last spring. They are the 90’s Straight Leg, and I am a big fan of the high waist, button fly and vintage-inspired wash. I used to wear these in a size down, but recently switched to my usual size and find them much more comfortable.
