Our Top Patterns for Me Made May 2020

It’s that time of year again! Although this year is undeniably different due to COVID-19, many sewists are still planning to participate in Me Made May and embrace this gentle challenge to wear more handmade garments.

I know for me, working from home means I often wear loungewear or even PJs all day long. Some days that is great, but other days it can make me feel pretty down and a little sloppy (real talk).

I want to use Me Made May this year as an opportunity to get dressed up for work! I love working on our sewing patterns and being in my studio and I feel like I deserve to look cute while doing it! I also miss wearing some of the more ‘fun’ garments I usually save for outings like restaurants or gatherings with friends. Just because we can’t do those things doesn’t mean we can’t wear the clothes, right?

My Me Made May pledge is to get properly dressed for work each day and include at least one me-made garment in the look. No sweatpants, no dirty t-shirts, and NO PAJAMAS. I am going to exclude weekends.

I hope this gets you thinking about your Me Made May pledge should you want to participate. You can learn more about it here.

I also wanted to share our top patterns in our collection for Me Made May this year! Many of us are at home most of the time, so we have focused on loungewear and easy, wearable separates. Happy sewing!
