Dip the nuggets in syrup or pile them on a plate, it’s up to you! This recipe is made from a skinny French baguette, so the nugget shape is already there. Just slice, coat, soak, and fry! In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, cinnamon, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla. Place the baguette slices in a 9×13 pan and pour the egg mixture over them. Let sit for 10 minutes and flip them over. Let them sit for 10 more minutes, so they soak up a lot of the egg mixture.

Heat a griddle to medium-high and melt butter until it’s sizzling. Fry the French toast nuggets until golden on each side. I also cooked them on what would be the base of each baguette slice, as well, to ensure it’s cooked all the way through.

What goes with French Toast Nuggets?

Of course, French Toast Nuggets could be a meal on their own. However, if you’d like a bigger breakfast, you could add scrambled eggs, a yogurt parfait, slices of bacon or sausage links! A bowl of fruit would go well with the nuggets, too!
