My Dad Life Energy Smoothie

Happy Monday everybody!

I hope you had a great weekend! If you didn’t, you can still make this week the greatest week of your life so far. One of the things God really impressed on our hearts at the end of 2022 is the importance and power of our focus. I really believe that God wants us to focus on His extreme goodness this year. When challenges arise (and they have already this year), instead of thinking all day about what went wrong, I have been working to make sure I switch my focus to God’s goodness. Whatever you focus on is what you will receive. Join me in focusing on God’s goodness in the midst of challenges. Despite the challenge, God is still good. In the midst of the challenge, God has a way of escape for you. In the face of the challenge, God has already given you the victory. Let’s focus on His goodness together and be confident that we will see and experience the extreme goodness of God.

My Dad Life Energy Smoothie Recipe

As any parent, I want my kids to eat healthy and enjoy the food they eat. I make smoothies for myself on a regular basis. In my smoothie creating process, I discovered the benefits of adding beets to my smoothie. I never was a fan of beets before this. However, when I created this recipe, this smoothie has become my go-to! I even nicknamed it my Dad Life Energy Smoothie. Beyond that, this is my kids favorite recipe! The beets add a special pink color that my daughters love! Beets also naturally boost energy and this smoothie is a great start for your day!

2 Cups of Frozen Strawberries

1 Cup of Frozen Beets

2 Cups of Milk (or your favorite milk substitute)

1 Banana

1/2 Cup of Blueberries

2 Tsp of local honey

*If I’m weightlifting that day, I add a few scoops of protein to the smoothie.

Enjoy!

On Thursdays and Fridays on Faith in the Morning, I’ve been sharing on how you can discover and live your God-given purpose. I’ve been sharing from my book, The Librarian. In this book is a parable and teaching to help you discover and live your God-given purpose!

At some point in every person’s life, they wonder, “Why I am here? What is my purpose?” In the Librarian, Kerrick helps the reader answer those important questions. Through this parable and the subsequent chapters, you will be inspired and challenged to discover and live your God-given purpose.
