7 Signs of a True Soulmate Connection

This blog post is based on my opinion, thoughts, and thinking….

Soulmate connections don’t come with the baggage of expectations, regrets, or false hopes. Instead, there’s a very pure connection that only lasts as long as it takes for someone to find their place in your heart.

But before you can tell if you’re feeling a true connection with someone else, it’s important to pay attention.

Here are seven signs that your feelings are reciprocated and that the person is actually in love with you.

1. They listen to you.

When you’re with someone special, they make it a point to be available whenever you need them. They might get busy, but they’ll always make time for you when this happens.

If you feel like your feelings go unnoticed, try talking about them. Your partner will likely pay more attention or ask questions if they sense that something’s off.

And vice versa. If you’re feeling unheard, try speaking up to share the things you want or the things on your mind.

2. They remember your birthday and other special days.

When you recall an important event in your life, they’re likely to know it just as well and maybe even remember when they last saw you.

Likewise, if something significant happened during their birthday, like a milestone birthday or time-limited present, your feelings are likely reciprocated.

But if you’re the one who always remembers each other’s special days, then your love is likely unrequited.

And if they remember someone else’s birthday but never ask about yours, there’s a chance that your feelings aren’t being returned.

3. They listen to you when you’re upset.

When you’re in a relationship with someone who truly cares for you and wants to help you through tough times, they’ll be there for you when nothing seems right.

They’ll help you through the difficult times, and, most likely, they won’t just listen but will also lend their insight and assessment.

If they’re not willing to do that on your behalf, then there’s a chance that they’re not in love with you.

Instead, it sounds like you have a “friend” who likes to hang out with you because she’s grateful to have an excuse to spend time with an easy target.

4. They recognize your efforts.

If you make an effort to bring a gift or show that you care, your partner will likely acknowledge it no matter what. If they don’t, they may not be willing to do the same for you.

Instead of expecting something in return when you’re the one with a special day, think about doing something nice for them without expecting anything in return either.

If you do, you’ll likely get back the same amount of effort you put in.

5. They understand your needs.

It’s important to have someone you can rely on when you’re in an emotionally or physically difficult situation.

If your partner understands this, then their love is likely reciprocated.

Try to say exactly what you want and need, whether for support, encouragement, or sympathy.

Your partner will understand and be able to give it just as much as you need without expecting anything in return from that effort from their side.

6. They don’t talk about others behind your back.

If you’re in a relationship with someone who likes to gossip about your friends or family, it’s probably not a good sign.

Some people are like that, but if your feelings are reciprocated, their feelings are likely to be as well.

Try not to talk about other people behind their back. Instead of working like that, think of ways in which you can communicate with the person who’s causing you all the grief in your life.

You don’t have to give up your friends or family, but you can find ways to get along without being in each other’s company.

7. They accept you as you are.

When you’re with someone who truly loves you, they’ll accept your flaws and imperfections and any quirks that are part of how you show up in the world each day.

They’re not going to find fault just for being critical, and they’ll be okay with your imperfections because they love you so much.

If someone in your life constantly tries to change who you are and doesn’t accept you as you are, then there’s a chance that he’s only interested in getting into your pants.

As long as they don’t try to change who you are, it sounds like your feelings are being reciprocated.
