Outfit Challenged in Ageless Style

The Ageless Style Link-Up – The first Tuesday of every month ten over 40 bloggers present a different style theme and show a myriad of ways to wear it, all the while proving you can still be fashionable and on trend over 40 and beyond.

Hey, y’all! I truly hope you and your loved ones are doing well. Things are going well here, all things considered. I am already over being at home all the time. This past week was our Spring Break and since we couldn’t really go anywhere or do much of anything, I continued to work remotely most days. Brian and I did begin a project that has been high on my project list for ages; we are building a catio in the backyard for the kitties! So far we have the base built and I have stained it a dark grey. I am hopeful we will complete it next weekend.

This month Shugunna decided we should take on those pieces in our wardrobe we just Loved when we bought them and then can’t figure out how to style them, or simply never wear them. I am so guilty of having items hang in my closet forever before I wear them, or are only worn once. 

I have a few pairs of patterned, wide leg pants in my closet that I just Had to Have and then rarely wore. I pulled out these black and white striped pair that I would normally dress up for my 9 to 5 office and instead dressed them down for my work-from-home office. A cotton tank, minimal jewelry, and dotted sneakers kept everything low key and comfortable. I was so comfortable I will for sure be reaching for the others in my closet in the coming weeks, as they are kind of like wearing pajamas, but qualify as real clothes.  

Oh, I had to show you my black eye – lol! I am pretty sure this is the first time I have ever had one in my life. I bent down in the shower to pick up something and hit my eye right on the water handle. Man, it immediately swelled to the size of a small bird egg and hurt like crazy. This photo was taken four days out. It’s a good thing I am not going out anywhere right now!
